I wouldnt go as far as saying the puzzles are more simple. Same wacky logic but the overall universe and overall design choices are simply more to my taste. In the other hand, and to answer your final question, I loved Day of Tentacle which like Grim Fandango is a Lucas Art designed by Tim Schafer. I grinded to the end against my better judgement because I really wanted to like it and I know I won't touch another TM because the core recipe is very clear. By 2 chapters I was having serious doubts. I recently played Tex Murphy : UKM - same deal. And personally it ends up throwing out of wack the delicate balance required for those games that often have you stuck on a puzzle. I dislike how it looks, I dislike how it feels. I can't stand 3d in adventure games, especially in grim fandango. It was one of the game that made me realize how much I cared about the scumm style pixel art adventure game. I had the same trouble with Grim Fandago which is for some people the best adventure game ever (cf ) Well sorry I couldn't get into it. and you usually know what's the deal rather quick. With Adventure games I'd say you either get into it or not.

My question is - are these examples of how many of the puzzles go throughout the game? Or do they get more logical? Despite liking much of the games presentaion, I dont really want to be refering to a walkthrough for most of the puzzles.Īlso, on a whim I purchased Day of the Tenticale Remastered and Full Throttle Remastered. Didn't feel like there was anyway for me to reasonably come up with these solutions apart from blind luck (unless I missed some clues somewhere?). Also got stuck on the puzzle were (again with a walkthrough) I learnt I had to turn the lock on mail tubes machine door so it wouldnt close. Only solved this after looking up a walkthrough. Got through the first few puzzles ok but was stuck for a number of hours on an early one - the one where I had to get two ballons and fill them with some foam from some tubes.
